To meet the increasingly diverse international academic aspirations of students, the leadership of CIAEA, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (HCMUSSH, VNU-HCM), and Meko Education Group (Japan) convened an in-person meeting to engage in in-depth strategic discussions.
On June 14, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Cambridge International Academic Exchange Alliance (CIAEA) represented by Mr. Kevin Qiao, Chairman & Founder of CIAEA - presided over a tripartite strategic working session with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU-HCM, and Meko Education Group (Japan). Serving as an international bridge, CIAEA aims to expand cross-border academic pathways and optimize comprehensive developmental solutions for students ranging from high school to undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The working session took place in a formal atmosphere with the participation of key leadership representatives:
- From CIAEA & International Partners: Mr. Kevin Qiao – Chairman & Founder of CIAEA; President of Zhangjiagang International School; Representative of Elite Hub Academy (USA). Representatives from study abroad and academic partner organizations in the United Kingdom.
- From Meko Education Group (Japan): Mr. Shiba Yoshihiro – President & CEO of Meko Education Group. Experts overseeing international exchange programs and scholarships.
- From HCMUSSH, VNU-HCM: Dr. Le Hoang Dzung – Vice President of the University. Representatives from the Office of External Relations and Research Affairs, Faculty of Japanese Studies, Center for Foreign Languages, and the Center for Entrepreneurship and Career Services.
In his role as a strategic catalyst connecting prestigious educational resources, Mr. Kevin Chau—representing the leadership of CIAEA—shared practical insights into the growth potential of Vietnamese students. According to Mr. Qiao, today’s youth demonstrate an immense ambition to gain global exposure, a steadfast dedication to mastering foreign languages, and an active drive to pursue diverse learning opportunities across multiple countries. Therefore, educational institutions collaborating to design customized training programs tailored to varied demands—from short-term to long-term—remains a top priority, thereby fostering an open mindset and cultivating resilience for future global citizens. Building upon these perspectives, Mr. Shiba Yoshihiro introduced Meko Group’s flagship educational programs and expressed strong interest in addressing the postgraduate (Master’s and Doctoral) study abroad needs of HCMUSSH students. Within the framework of the discussion, the parties conferred on actionable cooperative initiatives, including short-term and long-term exchange programs in Japan and the United Kingdom, merit-based scholarship funds for students, as well as opportunities for internships, academic teaching exchanges, and international recruitment. Notably, Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Loan, Vice Director of the Center for Foreign Languages, proposed a collaborative model for organizing Study Tours and summer camps to visit educational institutions in Japan for high school students. This initiative is designed to offer early, immersive exposure to native culture and language, thereby guiding their future academic and career orientations before entering university. The working session concluded successfully with strong alignment on long-term development visions. Commending the cooperation potential and the feasibility of the proposals, Dr. Le Hoang Dzung expressed hope that all parties will promptly expedite the signing of official cooperative agreements (MoU, MoA) to implement these educational initiatives in a profound and sustainable manner. Serving as the primary bridge and academic advisor throughout, CIAEA will continue to work closely alongside HCMUSSH and Meko Group to realize these commitments, empowering Vietnamese students to confidently advance on their global academic journeys.
