On December 5, representatives of the Cambridge International Academic Exchange Alliance (CIAEA) held an official working meeting with the leadership of the International Relations Department at Van Lang University (VLU). The discussions focused on establishing a multi-tiered academic cooperation framework, expanding experiential learning opportunities, fostering scholarly exchange, and developing undergraduate and postgraduate progression pathways in collaboration with a prestigious university in the United States.
To advance the internationalization of higher education and deliver global-standard learning opportunities to students, the Cambridge International Academic Exchange Alliance (CIAEA) convened a strategic working session at Van Lang University (VLU) on December 5. Attending the meeting on behalf of CIAEA was Mr. Kevin Qiao – Chairman and Founder of CIAEA. Welcoming the delegation from Van Lang University was Mr. Tran Luu Phuong Nam – Head of the International Relations Department, alongside key departmental officers.
During the meeting, Mr. Tran Luu Phuong Nam shared VLU’s dynamic growth strategy, innovative training environment, and strong institutional commitment to internationalization. To accommodate students' growing demand for global integration, the university proactively collaborates with reputable international partners to establish practical, versatile academic pathways that offer flexibility in both duration and learning models.
In alignment with these institutional objectives, Mr. Kevin Chau and the CIAEA team proposed a strategic collaboration framework partnering with a reputable U.S. university. The proposed initiatives are built upon three core strategic pillars:
- Short-Term & Experiential Programs: Developing academic Summer Camp models hosted either in the United States or co-organized in Vietnam, emphasizing academic English, leadership skills, teamwork, and cross-cultural communication. Flexible Academic Mobility & Exchange: Facilitating immersion study tours, campus experience programs in the United States, as well as collaborative online lecture series and joint academic webinars co-delivered by faculty from both institutions. Long-Term Articulation & Progression Pathways: Exploring the feasibility of integrated undergraduate progression models (such as 2+2 or 3+1) and postgraduate pathways, complemented by structured academic advising to assist students in preparing competitive applications.
Representing Van Lang University, Mr. Tran Luu Phuong Nam highly appreciated the feasibility, alignment, and practical value of CIAEA’s proposed academic framework. The December 5 meeting concluded on a positive note, establishing a solid foundation for extensive future cooperation. Moving forward, CIAEA will coordinate closely with VLU and the partner university in the United States to conduct academic reviews, step-by-step realizing these joint programs to empower the next generation to step confidently into the world.
